Bulk Meta Commander — Bulk-Edit Posts, Meta & Media Without the One-by-One Grind

Bulk Meta Commander lets you update many posts at once instead of editing them one by one. Filter by post type and taxonomy, include or exclude specific posts by title, then apply custom fields, content, a featured image, and a gallery to everything that matches — all from one guided, step-by-step admin screen.

What it does

  • Filter by post type and any taxonomy/category registered for that type.
  • Include only specific posts, or exclude specific posts, using a live title search.
  • Add unlimited custom field rows, each with its own data format (text, number, URL, comma list, JSON, or a media picker) and its own “replace or keep existing” rule.
  • Add or replace post content, with an optional shortcode that can always be pinned to the end of the final content.
  • Replace the excerpt, set a featured image across matching posts, and append to or replace a gallery meta field.
  • Preview how many posts match your filters before running anything, then run the job in small AJAX batches with a live progress bar.
  • A separate “Clear Data” mode deletes named custom fields, the featured image, the gallery meta, and/or the content or excerpt — using the same filters, with its own confirmation and progress bar.

Media Usage — find and replace media across your site

On its own admin screen, pick any file from the Media Library and instantly see every post that uses it — as a single custom field, inside an image gallery, or as the Featured Image. Check exactly the usages you want to update, choose a replacement file, and Bulk Meta Commander swaps it in only for the posts you selected.
