Sifency Addons & Axist Theme – Documentation

Sifency Addons

Dynamic Template Engine, AI Creator Studio & Premium Elementor Widgets Suite

Overview & Architecture

Sifency Addons is an enterprise-grade extension designed for WordPress themes (such as the Axist theme). It incorporates a custom Theme Builder, a lightweight Widget Management System, and the innovative AI Studio module, allowing developers and site administrators to build premium layouts, register custom post types, and create functional layouts without modifying file structures directly.

💡

Design Framework Overrides

Sifency Addons runs independently of Elementor Pro. If templates are registered and activated in the Sifency Theme Builder, they automatically take absolute priority, overriding Customizer layout options, metabox options, and standard theme fallback templates.

Elementor Widget Management

Sifency Addons comes packed with custom widgets. To avoid performance degradation and keep the Elementor panel organized, you can easily control which widgets are loaded.

Enabling and Disabling Widgets

You can manage active widgets via the admin panel at Sifency Addons > Elementor Widgets:

  1. Navigate to the Elementor Widgets submenu inside the WordPress admin.
  2. Toggle individual cards to turn widgets On or Off.
  3. Alternatively, use the Enable All or Disable All buttons in the category tabs to configure active items in bulk.
  4. Click Save Changes (or the floating Action button) to submit settings.

Performance & License Notes

Widgets marked as Pro require a verified license key. If the plugin’s license is not active, Pro widgets are automatically disabled and display a fallback locking screen on the frontend.

Custom Post Types (CPT)

Sifency Addons includes built-in CPT modules like Team, Services, Portfolio, Event, Careers, Doc, and Digital Goods. These are loaded conditionally to save server resources.

Activation & Global Settings

  1. Go to the plugin settings page (Sifency Addons > Settings or CPT Modules Management).
  2. Find the module in the management list (e.g. Services or Portfolio).
  3. Click the Enable button. The settings system validates the license, activates the modules list, and flushes the WordPress rewrite rules.
  4. A new menu entry will appear in the WordPress admin sidebar (e.g. Services).

Updating Post Categories & Custom Fields (Meta)

Custom Post Type Custom Fields (Meta Key) Custom Taxonomy
Team (member) Designation (_member_designation), Social Links (_member_socials) team_category
Service (service) Service Icon (_service_icon), CTA Link (_service_link) service_category
Portfolio (portfolio) Project Client (_portfolio_client), Video URL (_portfolio_video) portfolio_category

Theme Builder Template Engine

The core engine in Sifency Addons allows you to construct custom templates for header parts, footer parts, single posts/pages, archives, and custom post types using Elementor. These templates are stored in the custom post type themebuilder.

1. Add New Template 2. Edit with Elementor 3. Set Conditions & Toggle ON

Step-by-Step Creation & Usage

  1. Navigate to Sifency Addons > Theme Builder.
  2. Select the appropriate tab matching your layout needs (e.g., Main Header, Single Post, or CPT like Single Service).
  3. Click Add New Template (or the Floating + Button). Name it and click Create.
  4. The list table updates. Click Edit with Elementor to open the builder view.
  5. Design your layout using Elementor widgets, then click Publish/Update.
  6. Back in the Theme Builder screen, click Edit Conditions to set where the template should render.
  7. Toggle the status switch in the status column to Active.

Custom Post Type Single Templates

Theme Builder allows you to create unique layout templates for single items of your Custom Post Types (e.g. Services, Members, Portfolio items, or WooCommerce products).

How to Apply CPT Single Page Layouts

  1. Ensure the target CPT module is enabled in global settings.
  2. Go to Theme Builder and navigate to the single item category tab (e.g., Single Service or Single Product).
  3. Create a new template. When editing in Elementor, use the dynamic widgets provided by Sifency Addons: Post Title, Post Content, Post Info, Featured Image.
  4. In the Display Conditions, set it to include Singular > Service > All or target a Specific Service.
  5. Toggle the template switch to Active.

Utility Templates

Sifency Addons includes support for subheaders, error pages, and popups.

1. Popups

Popup DOM Structure
<div id="sifency-custom-popup" class="sifency-custom-popup">
    <div class="sifency-popup-overlay" data-sifency-popup="close"></div>
    <div class="sifency-popup-content-wrapper">
        <button class="sifency-popup-close" data-sifency-popup="close" aria-label="Close">×</button>
        <div class="sifency-popup-inner-content">
            <!-- Elementor Popup Template -->
        </div>
    </div>
</div>

2. Before Footer & Pre Before Footer

These templates inject custom Elementor sections immediately above the main footer element. Useful for newsletter signups, call-to-actions, or Instagram feeds.

3. Subheader & After Subheader

Subheaders replace the default breadcrumb and page title hero sections. Sifency_Addons_Sub_Header_Render automatically hides default theme headers and enqueues the custom Elementor template right after the main header container.

4. 404 Error Pages

Design a custom 404 page in the 404 Page tab. When a user lands on a missing URL, the engine intercepts the 404 header response and swaps the default template with the custom Elementor 404 design.

Template Display Conditions

Sifency Addons includes a condition evaluation system that resolves which template should render on any page. Conditions are configured via Edit Conditions in the list tables.

Include & Exclude Logic

  • Exclude Rules Always Win: Exclude rules are checked first. If a page matches an active Exclude rule, the template is discarded immediately.
  • Include Hierarchy Priority: If no exclude rules match, include rules are evaluated. The rule with the highest Priority Score is selected for display.

Priority Scoring System

Subtype / Rule Condition Priority Score Category / Domain
Specific Post/Page/ID 110 (Highest) Singular
Front Page / Home Page 100 General
WooCommerce Shop Page 80 Archive
CPT Archive Page 75 Archive
Specific Taxonomy/Category Term 70 Singular / Archive
Post Type (All of CPT) 60 Singular
All Singular Items 50 Singular
404 Error Page / Search Results Page 40 General
Archive Category/Tag Index 35 Archive
Entire Site / Default Fallback 10 (Lowest) General

Sifency AI Studio

Sifency AI Studio is a next-generation sub-system integrated inside Sifency Addons > AI Studio. It empowers designers and developers to create widgets, custom post types, custom metaboxes, and builder items using plain English prompts.

Generated Files Locations

  • Elementor Widgets: wp-content/uploads/sifency-ai/widgets/
  • Custom Post Types (CPT): wp-content/uploads/sifency-ai/cpts/
  • Metaboxes: wp-content/uploads/sifency-ai/metaboxes/
  • Builder Items: wp-content/uploads/sifency-ai/builder-items/

Generation & Deployment Workflow

  1. Navigate to Sifency Addons > AI Studio.
  2. Configure your credentials (add your API key for OpenAI, Anthropic, or the default LLM provider).
  3. Select the component type you wish to generate (e.g., Elementor Widget).
  4. Write a prompt describing the component.
  5. Click Generate. Sifency’s prompt engine writes the resulting PHP code to the uploads folder and registers it at runtime.
  6. Toggle the item to Enabled. If it’s a widget, it immediately appears in the Elementor widgets list under the ✨ Sifency AI category.
✨

Developer Notice

All generated code includes automatic security sanitization on input, output escaping, and unique namespace prefixes matching the Sifency framework guidelines.

Reusable Templates & Shortcodes

Reusable Templates (stored in the section_templates custom post type) are standalone modules built with Elementor that you can display anywhere on your site via a shortcode.

How to Create, Publish & Use Shortcodes

  1. Go to Sifency Addons > Reusable Templates.
  2. Click Add New Section. Name it and click Publish.
  3. Click Edit with Elementor to build the template interface visually.
  4. Once saved, return to the templates list table and locate the automatically generated shortcode.
  5. Click Copy Shortcode to copy it.

New Features in v1.0.5

1. Sifency AI Studio

Create functional custom code elements using plain English prompts. Code is output securely inside wp-content/uploads/sifency-ai/ to avoid losing customizations during plugin updates.

2. Lightweight Post Summary Filtering

Enables lightning-fast queries for loops and CPT grid sliders. Replaces heavy archive loaders with optimized summary filters that reduce database loads on custom post index views.

3. Atomic Widget Manager

Gives you full control to enable or disable individual widgets. Disabling unused widgets removes their classes from the memory tree, significantly reducing the memory footprint of the Elementor builder screen.

4. Inline Template Quick Edit

Quickly adjust the title, status (Active/Inactive), and publishing options of your builder templates directly from the Theme Builder list table.

Getting Started

Welcome to the Axist Theme documentation by Sifency. Thank you for choosing Axist — by purchasing it, you’re entitled to free lifetime updates and dedicated support. This documentation will guide you through every step of setup and customization.

Theme Requirements

To use Axist, ensure your environment meets the following minimum requirements:

Requirement Minimum Version
WordPress 6.0 or higher
PHP 7.4.x or higher
MySQL 5.6 or higher

Recommended PHP Configuration

Many common issues — such as white screens, failed demo content imports, or empty page content — are caused by low PHP configuration limits. Increase your PHP limits to at least the following values:

php.ini / wp-config.php
max_execution_time = 1200
memory_limit = 500M
post_max_size = 64M
upload_max_filesize = 128M
💡

Check Your PHP Configuration

To verify your current PHP settings, navigate to WordPress Admin → Tools → Site Health → Info → Server. You can also ask your web host to update these limits for you.

Site Configuration

This section addresses common configuration issues and solutions for your Axist theme. If you encounter problems not covered here, please visit the Sifency support portal for assistance.

Troubleshooting FAQ

1. Why can’t I save my menu?

WordPress has a default limit on the number of menu items. Importing Axist demo content, which includes many menu items, may prevent saving menu changes. To resolve this, contact your hosting provider and request the following additions to the php.ini file:

php.ini
suhosin.post.max_vars = 5000
suhosin.request.max_vars = 5000

2. Why is a smiley displayed on blank pages?

This issue is often related to the Jetpack plugin or insufficient memory settings on your hosting. You can either disable Jetpack or increase your server’s memory limit. Refer to the WordPress Codex for details on resolving memory limit issues.

3. How do I translate or rename default theme labels?

You can translate or rename Axist theme labels using one of these methods:

  • Use Poedit to edit the theme’s translation files.
  • Manually edit the en_US.po file located in the wp-content/themes/axist/languages/ folder using a text editor.

4. Why do I see a white screen when importing demo content?

A white screen or error during demo import is typically due to a low maximum execution time limit. The default limit is 30 seconds, but Axist requires at least 120 seconds. Increase the limit using one of these methods:

Options to increase max_execution_time
// In wp-config.php:
set_time_limit(120);

// In .htaccess:
php_value max_execution_time 120

// In php.ini:
max_execution_time = 120

  2. Navigate to Dashboard → Axist → Import Demo Data.
  3. Select the demo layout you want to import from the available options.
  4. Click Import and wait for the process to complete.
💡

Before You Import

Ensure Axist Core, Sifency Essential, Sifency Addons, and Elementor are all installed and activated before starting the demo import. Missing plugins will result in incomplete demo content.

Navigations & Menus

This section guides you through creating and managing menus in the Axist theme.

Menu Creation

  1. Navigate to Appearance → Menus in your WordPress admin panel.
  2. In the Menus interface, you’ll see two tabs: Edit Menus and Manage Locations.
  3. Create a new menu, add your pages or links, and then save.

Assigning Menus to Locations

In the Manage Locations tab, you can assign menus to various locations in Axist:

Menu Location Description
Primary Menu Main navigation header menu displayed in the header area.
Footer Menu Lightweight link list displayed inside the footer section.
Offcanvas Menu Menu displayed in the offcanvas/mobile drawer panel.
💡

Menu Not Showing?

You must assign your menu to a location for it to appear on your site. Alternatively, you can assign a menu to a location directly in the Edit Menus tab under Menu Settings.

Editing Menu Items

Click the small triangle icon next to each menu item to access its editable settings:

  • Navigation Label: Enter the text to display for this menu item.
  • Enable Mega Menu: Check this box to enable a mega menu for this item, if supported by your header type.
  • Hide Link: Prevents the menu item from being a clickable link.
  • Hide Item: Hides the menu item entirely — useful for structural menu items that only hold sub-items.
  • Icon Pack / Icon: Choose an icon to display alongside the menu item label.

Creating Anchor Links for One Page Sites

To create anchor links for a one-page layout in Axist, add custom links in the Edit Menus tab and use anchor IDs (e.g., #section-id) as the URL. Ensure the corresponding sections on your page have matching IDs set in the page builder or Axist theme options.

Elementor

The Axist theme is fully compatible with Elementor, a powerful drag-and-drop page builder. Axist is built to work seamlessly alongside Elementor, providing custom widgets and templates for every section of your site.

Building Pages with Elementor

With Elementor, you can create and customize a wide variety of pages in Axist without coding. All key page types are fully customizable via Elementor:

  • Custom Header — Design unique headers using the Sifency Theme Builder. Go to Sifency Addons > Theme Builder, create a header template, and edit with Elementor. Use Axist Theme Options to set global header styles or per-page Meta Options for specific settings.
  • Custom Footer — Design footers through the Sifency Theme Builder. Assign conditions to display the right footer on the right pages.
  • 404 Page — Build a custom 404 error page by creating a new template in Sifency Addons > Theme Builder, selecting the 404 type, and designing with Elementor.
  • Coming Soon Page — Create a coming soon page in the Theme Builder with the Coming Soon template type.
  • Subheader — Design subheaders using Elementor section templates. Configure visibility via Meta Options on individual pages.
  • Portfolio Single Page — Build stunning portfolio pages with the Elementor portfolio widgets (enabled by Axist Core + Sifency Addons).

Admin Options and Meta Options with Elementor

  • Admin Options: Access global settings via Axist Options. Configure site-wide styles such as typography, colors, and layout defaults. These settings ensure consistency across all Elementor-built pages.
  • Meta Options: Customize individual pages, posts, or custom post types by accessing Meta Options in the WordPress editor. Use these to override global settings on a per-page basis.
⚠️

Elementor Not Loading?

Ensure all required plugins (Axist Core, Sifency Essential, Sifency Addons, Elementor) are installed and activated. Missing any of these will cause widgets or builder features to fail silently.

Theme Options

The Axist theme provides extensive customization options through the Axist Options panel. Accessible via Axist Options in your WordPress admin panel, this interface allows you to customize every part of the theme without writing any code.

Overview of Admin Options

The Admin Options are organized into sections, each controlling specific aspects of the Axist theme. Below is a detailed breakdown of the available option panels:

Section Sub-Sections

Customizing the Theme Step by Step

💡

Combine with Meta Options

For page-specific customizations, combine Axist Options with Meta Options, accessible in the WordPress editor for individual pages, posts, or custom post types. Meta Options always override global Axist Options on a per-page basis.

Installing Contact Form 7

  1. Go to Plugins → Add New in your WordPress admin panel.

  3. Once activated, access MetForm → All Forms to create custom forms with drag-and-drop fields (text, email, checkboxes, etc.).
  4. Add these forms to Elementor pages using the MetForm Widget under the Elementor widgets panel.

3rd Party Newsletter Integration

To integrate newsletter services, install the Mailchimp for WordPress plugin:
