Build WordPress option panels by dragging, not coding.

Sifency Admin Option Builder gives you a visual screen for building admin settings panels — sections, fields, defaults, Customizer support — all wired to a real sanitization engine underneath.

No external requests. No tracking. Panels are stored in your own database.

Why it’s different

Everything an options framework does in code — now on a screen.

Most option frameworks make you register arrays of fields in PHP. This one gives that same engine a builder screen, so panels take minutes instead of a deploy cycle.

Drag-and-drop panels

Add sections, drag fields from a type palette, reorder anything by hand. No shortcodes, no field arrays to hand-write.

⇄

Own page or Customizer

Send each panel to its own Settings page, into Appearance → Customize with live preview, or both — per panel.

✓

Sanitized on save

Every field type — colors, media, rich text, icons — is sanitized server-side automatically.

▦

Tabs and sub-panels

Fan a section into nested navigation with fieldset and tabbed field types for panels that outgrow a flat list.

⌘

Same engine as the API

Visual panels use the exact Sifency_Admin_Options_Framework class a developer would call — no second code path.

ƒ

Filterable rendering

Override or add a field type with sifency_fw_render_field_{type} without touching a single core file.

Field types

The palette covers the fields real settings pages need.

The visual builder exposes the most-used subset below. Composite types — background, border, spacing, typography, repeatable groups — stay available through the PHP API.

* Available via the PHP API — not yet in the visual builder.

Customizer bridge

One panel, two places to edit it.

Set a panel to “Customizer” or “Both” and its compatible fields appear in Appearance → Customize with live preview — alongside the dedicated settings page, with no extra registration.

How it works

From install to a working panel in three steps.

1

Install and activate

Upload the plugin or install it from the Plugins screen. Works with any theme, no configuration required.

2

Open Option Builder

Create a panel, add sections, and drag fields in from the palette.

3

Choose where it appears

Pick its own settings page, the Customizer, or both — then read values back with a single function call.

// Register a panel directly in PHPSifency_Admin_Options_Framework::createOptions( 'my_plugin_options', array('menu_title'      => 'My Plugin','framework_title' => 'My Plugin Settings', ) ); Sifency_Admin_Options_Framework::createSection( 'my_plugin_options', array('id'     => 'general','title'  => 'General','fields' => array( array( 'id' => 'my_field', 'type' => 'text', 'title' => 'My Field' ), ), ) );// Read it back anywhere$value = Sifency_Admin_Options_Framework::getOption('my_plugin_options', 'my_field');
For theme & plugin developers

A UI on top of a real framework, not a black box.

Everything the visual builder produces goes through Sifency_Admin_Options_Framework — the same class you can call directly for cases the builder doesn’t cover yet.

  • Composite field types — background, border, spacing, typography, repeatable groups
  • Filter-based overrides for any field’s rendering
  • Built-in jQuery UI Sortable and Color Picker — no bundled CDN scripts
  • Panels built visually and panels built in code, side by side, safely
FAQ

Good to know before you install.

Do I need a specific theme?

No. The Option Builder screen works with any WordPress theme, out of the box.

Who can build or edit panels?

Users with the manage_options capability — administrators, on a standard single-site install.

Does the plugin send data anywhere?

No. It doesn’t collect, transmit, or share any data. All settings are stored locally in your site’s database.

What happens if I uninstall it?

Deactivating keeps your data. Uninstalling from the Plugins screen removes every panel’s saved values and the builder layout itself.

Does it load anything from a CDN?

No. All assets are enqueued from the plugin’s own assets/ folder, using WordPress’s bundled jQuery UI Sortable and Color Picker.

Your next options panel doesn’t need a deploy.

Free, GPL v2, zero external requests. Install it and build your first panel in minutes.
